The Connection Between Weight and Spring Preference
Every person has unique needs when it comes to mattress comfort. Our extensive experience has led us to some insightful observations:
Our decade-long experience fitting people to mattresses has revealed a clear pattern: specific springs are consistently preferred by certain weight groups.
For our sleepers that way less (Under 70kg):
Many in your weight group tell us that it’s hard to find a mattress that is comfortable enough. This is due to most mattress being made for heavier people. Our spring, found in our Aurora Cloud 2, 3, or 4 mattresses, Is built specifically for your weight group.
For Those in the Middle (70kg to 90kg):
Lot’s of our sleepers choose the spring. Becuase lot’s of our sleeprs are 70-90kgs.It’s available in all of our medium-range mattresses e.g. Aurora 5, 6, or 7.
For Individuals Over 90kg:
Your body needs the right support, but it also needs cushioning above that firm support. With the spring, featured in any of our firmer range mattresses (e.g. Aurora 8, 9, or 10), you’ll find the the right balance for comfort and alignment.
For Individuals above 110kg):
Your requirements are our priority. The spring, available upon special request. Please call and ask and we can figure out the right combination of components for you 🙂

Why Customize Springs?
Finding the right mattress can be complex. Adjusting the spring tension to suit your weight is the best way to achieve comfort. Keep in mind, this requires specialized labour, tooling and expertise.

If you’re near the border of these weight groups, your personal comfort preferences might lead you to choose a firmness level slightly outside your category. It’s worth considering how you like your mattress to feel and discussing it with our team.
Why Are the Springs Called by Colors?
Q: I noticed that the springs are referred to by colors like Yellow, White, Blue, and Black. What does this mean?
A: In the factory, we use technical specifications like 1.8mm and 1.7mm to describe the thickness of the springs. However, we have assigned them colors to make it less technical and easier for our customers to remember. Here’s how the colors correspond to the spring thickness:
- Yellow: 1.5mm thick wire in the pocketspring
- White: 1.6mm thick wire in the pocketspring
- Blue: 1.7mm thick wire in the pocketspring
- Black: 1.8mm thick wire in the pocketspring
This approach helps our customers easily understand and choose the right spring for their weight range without getting into the technical details.
